What it means.
Earning the rank of Eagle in the BSA organization is an extreme honor and privilege. It is the highest honored award in BSA and is Nationally recognized. It shows that an individual has shown leadership, kindness, change, and communication skills in their community. Lastly it shows that the scout has learned how to live and act upon the scout oath and law and will continue to live by it their whole life.
Below is a list of young girls who have achieved this high honor in Troop 888 and what they did to serve their community.
Paetyn is one of the first founders of Troop 888 and has given much time and dedication to making it a welcoming home for future scouts. Paetyn is also the very first Eagle Scout of Troop 888. Her project was raising money and gathering a team to put together adventure kits for the Beyond Boundaries Organization to help kids get outside and explore nature.
Lizzie is one of the first founders of Troop 888 and has stuck with it since day one. Her project was raising money to purchase materials to buy cleaning supplies and other emergency necessities that were donated to Caritas; an organization aiming to end poverty.
Lily is the youngest of the troops founding members who have earned the rank of Eagle. Through many challenges, including her own heart surgery, Lily has persevered and has finally made it to the finale. Her project was to donate 150 board games and 2 Nintendo switches to the Children's National Hosptial where she had her surgery in 2020. In addition, she also donated 4 kids tents for the kids to play their new board games in.
